I found conflicting reviews.

One says the PlayStation is more powerful and has better games.

Another says the PlayStation is outdated in comparison to the newer oculus.

As someone with both.,,Its not even close, Oculus blows PSVR out of the water. The controllers alone make it better. Not having analog sticks on PSVR was a massively missed opportunity.

The PSVR aim controller is very cool, but the Oculus is simply better in almost every way. And if you have a gaming PC, even more so.

There is no PS4 VR. If you're talking about PS VR, then no contest. Oculus 2 is miles ahead of PS VR.

Is there anything the PSVR does better

From what I gather

PSVR

• Access to PS games
• OLED screen
• Comfortable straps

Quest 2

• Connects to PC
• Higher resolution images
• Better controllers

I went with the quest 2. It's cool so far.

Recommended games/apps?

Resident Evil 4 VR sounds like a lot of fun.

If VR is new for you definitely check out Beat Saber and simpler titles like Job Simulator.

If you have a gaming PC Half-Life Alyx is a must.

For such a small ecosystem it's a shame VR is so fragmented.

I downloaded a few demos including Beat Saber. I wanted Resident Evil 7 more because I already beat RE4 way back when.

What does ecosystem and fragmented mean in this case

I have both and the only thing noticeably better of the PSVR for me is the OLED screen. Blacks are much darker on the PSVR. Everything else is better with the Oculus Quest 2.

There's not a lot of VR games but many are exclusives spread out over PSVR, Oculus and Steam.

RE7 is PSVR exclusive for example so you're out of luck there.
