Every cop movie ever: cop: "this is my crime scene!" FBI: "Not anymore it isn't".

Like damn, do cops really want to project manage an international terror incident that badly? I'd be like "oh thank god, I can go home now"

Nope. Very rarely do we ever interact with feds to begin with. Mostly when its related to banks. They usually show up in a team with a detective from our end and take it over

I asked one of my cop acquaintances that and his answer was basically "it's not nearly that exaggerated (obviously) and is handled way up the chain".

Kind of a non answer imo but he's not high ranking.

It's like that scene in Men in Black where you meet the coroner.

Dr. Weaver: What's with the cat?

Cop in Morgue: Oh, the cat. Yeah, well, there's a problem with the cat. Sign here.

Dr. Weaver: [signing] What's the problem with the cat?

Cop in Morgue: It's your problem.
