never followed Peterson outside of what was posted on CE, but he seems like an unpleasant person.

He's teaching them to remember to clean their rooms before having their daily tantrums

Man, I hate what hes turned into. Or maybe its what hes always been, I dont know.

I did enjoy watching his class lessons online, and while I didnt agree with everything he said, I found a good bit of value in listening overall. At the end of the day, what he was saying did help pull me out of a depressive slump I had sunk into.

Anymore though, hes honestly just embarrassing.

He's already gotten the first two doses too so wtf is he even doing right now

The right loves overly elaborate metaphors and high word counts. It allows for the appearance of depth and intellect while being as shallow as humanly possible. The whole book is literally pop psychology pretending to be groundbreaking.

You guys are silly. The right isn't actually impressed by his pretend eloquence. They just like it as a shield. They like Peterson because he has the academic credentials and "eloquence" and endorses anti-trans and traditionalist "evo-psych" takes.

It's just a "ha, so you care about experts and professors? Here's one that says the stuff we like!"

At least for his earlier stuff, if you listen to the first ~20 minutes of whatever, it sounds like common sense "take care of yourself" stuff that I'd understand poorly-raised young men would appreciate being told, as a sort of paternal figure substitute.

But he always somehow works in an arbitrary link to some bullshit.

Dude won't take a COVID vaccine, but he'll fly to Russia and put himself in a medically induced coma that he has trouble waking up from that damages his brain capacity because he's so dehydrated and malnourished that eating a vegetable gives him hellish nightmares.

This exactly. The right glommed onto him for this reason and this reason only (at first at least).

Honestly, Peterson is good at explaining some principles in psychology such as the Five Factor Model of Personality and IQ, but whenever he starts invoking Carl Jung or Joseph Campell, he makes an ass of himself.
