I tried with seven letters on two different days and failed both times.

Much respect on this extreme feat.

I think a 7 or 8 would be harder, only because there's really not as many 11 letter words. It only seems crazy with length. You just really need to sit there and think of what words are 11 letters mostly. D:

edit: to get yellows, anyway. there are probably better combos to get the common letters also into their common 'slots'

because i did some more math and RAPID+MONEY hit 10 common letters in their most common positions, with CULTS cleaning up the rest of the 15 most common 5-letter word letters.

there is definitely a line where trying to being too clever becomes counterproductive.

i think i was on a coinflip, maybe 1/3 depending on how they do repeat letters.
does anyone know how they treat guessing a second copy of a letter after locking in the first?

my third guess was (stupidly) PROOF. if the word had been PROMO, would it have marked the second O as yellow? I'm guessing yes, but i'd like to know for sure. if yes, picked right vs PRONG.

tbh I was like 90% confident on the 2nd letter after only two guesses, I should have just gone with my gut and continued to think longer, I only guessed what I did as a third word because I couldn't think of anything that fit PRO

For duplicate letters, it treats them as independent of each other, with correct positions taking priority. So for example if the answer was ASSET and you entered SASSY, the second S would be green because it's in the correct place, the first S would be yellow because there is a second S in the answer but not in that position, and the third S would be gray because there is no third S in the correct answer.

I almost just deliberately scratched that one despite having the second and third letter green from guess three but got it last minute.
