I actually like 2 and 4 buy the series is works better if you just have 1 and 3.

1 is McClane, a normal cop in an impossible situation who uses his wits to survive then 3 is the backlash from what he did.

2 and 4 hes too much of an action hero. And 5, its good 5 doesnt exist and nobody can tell me different.

Die Hard should have been a one and done.

Die Hard 2 should have been Commando 2 starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Die Hard With a Vengeance should have been Simon Says.

It's my favorite action movie of all time, but it never needed a sequel. A sequel defeats the purpose of John McClane. He's not supposed to be an action star. It's a film about an average cop in way over his head.

Merge Die Hard and Lethal Weapon, just for the hell of it.
Then set the next next one in Jurassic Park.
