It is kinda funny how first class went from "We'll treat you like royalty!" to "We'll treat you slightly better than the lower classes"

But considering all the shit that flight attendants (and pretty much any service job, really) have to put up with, you can't really blame them for losing their zeal for pleasing customers...

Nobody wants to pay $3000 to fly from LA to NYC anymore. May well get a private charter and bypass the TSA bullshittery.

The elite "whales" who carried the costs of everyone else, just moved on.

First class only makes a big difference in international flights from what i've seen.

I flew first to Hawaii a few years back, it was amazing.

...and if you're paying a bunch to fly international, you'd rather fly Emirates or Korea or something.

First class for a short haul flight isn't gonna be much of a difference than regular economy. Long haul and international flights though it's a world of difference. I would like to try it but I don't want to shell out the big bucks or use my points when I could get multiple flights with them.

Eh not true. Had a friend tell me about her trip to Australia where an entire family was in Delta One. That's usually about $5-6000 a seat. Who the fuck gets their kid that.
