The limit was supposed to be 1000. They screwed up and missed the limit for following, no doubt. The use of following someone is not to see how many people you can get at once though. Which is what he was doing. Just going through every name he could find and following them. Seeing what the limit is for following people is certainly not the spirit of the feature. One can argue me using the feature to bypass the tagging is also an abuse, and I'd be fine with that characterization. But I don't just tag someone to tag them, and I don't follow someone just to follow them. Admittedly, I'm a weirdo, though. --- I use Google... And from there, I was able to tag anyone that I could follow, even though I should never have been able to follow anyone. As long as you stayed following that person you could tag them as much as you wanted. But removing them from your tag list would remove their tag when the system updated daily. --- I use Google...
