IIRC from immunology class in med school the whole family is pretty good about evading the immune system over time. Versus, say, flu. You get the flu and get exposed a second time and you don't get sick. Those antibodies last forever, or nearly that long (getting sick another year is due to a different strain). Corona less to last maybe 6-8 months. After that you can get sick again like you never had it.
