I understand if you disconnect by accident but more often then not they do it on purpose.

It's either when I down them or hook them and they disconnect.

I don't understand why people do that, I still get points.

maybe they want to tank their MMR

I don't camp, I play strategically by patrolling generators plus I've played all the maps and by now I can anticipate where the surviors are at.

I didn't even know that was a thing.

People who disconnect intentionally should get a 24hr ban or at least a warning then a ban.

Yeah there should be some sort of penalty for rage quitting in any game. I see it a lot in fighters since I like to do either troll people or style on them. But to do either of those things I need an opponent who sucks nards, and people who suck nards tend to get butthurt easily, and so they rage quit.
