Are those "gamer" chairs any good? I've been looking for a new chair thats comfortable and supports my large frame

No. They use them cause they get them for free. They also replace them every few months

I didn't think much of them either, especially with how expensive some of them are for a computer chair. Then I ended up with one at work and I was sold. Ended up buying one for my computer/gaming set up at home. No regrets.

Just get a nice office chair rather than one being advertised as a "gamer chair."

Dropped around $400 on a Leap V2, seems like a lot, but I spend a ton of time in that chair. Just like dropping a lot on your mattress, usage on those things are really high, and I guess it's worth the money to not have back issues in your old age.

All I know is that I bought this exact chair going on 3 years ago and it has been hands down the most comfortable chair I have ever owned for sitting at a desk. Finding a comfortable office type chair for someone that is 6'1 tends to be slightly annoying, but this one was perfect for me:

Usually I start to feel the typical office chair starting to weaken in this time frame, but this sob is solidly built and still feels how it did when I first bought it. The price actually went up a good bit since I bought it though....it was like, 390ish or something like that, but I see it went to over 500 dollars now, lol.

If something were to ever happen to my chair, I am definitely getting another one of these.

Don't get the appeal of hm chairs when they don't even have a headrest. What kinda chair doesn't have a headrest.

My ex dropped $400 on one after she got like twenty followers on Twitch. I've sat in it a dozen times and it's just okay.

I vastly prefer the office chair I have. "Realspace Verismo." You can find them at Office Depot. I just googled it and you can actually get one for about $200 (probably $250 after taxes and shipping). I'd say it's worth that. You don't want to cheap out super hard on a chair; I spent some time recently sitting in a super busted, cheapo Walmart computer chair. It was so bad I ended up just using a kitchen table chair instead.

That being said those realspace verismo chairs look pretty damn good. But I have to ask, does that cushion... sag after a while? Where it feels like you're sitting on the hard metal surface of the chair?

They've all felt real shitty to me. I had one of those excellent 80's office chairs, the kind made of tough plastic and some kind of woven fabric, heavy as sin, and it lasted perfectly for years.

And then some fucker stole it while I was moving.

Yeah, spend money on quality products. I'm just saying that the gaming chairs are usually stupidly overpriced for the quality.

I've had the verismo chair for years of daily use and it hasn't started to sag yet. I'm sure it will eventually, but it's been good so far.

My grandmother spent $800 on a nice luxury office chair in the late 90s because she worked as a city official and needed to use a desk at home a lot. Shes since passed, and I ended up with the chair. Its still very comfortable.

That's good, a comfortable leather chair with back support and head rest is my ideal chair

I've been shopping around but need an alternative to office depot because the one near me closed down. And its a shame cause it had really good looking chairs too
