I love the ambience of deep red lighting. I think this goes all the way back to childhood. The helicopter scene from Predator. The lighting in old school WWF when masked Kane would come out, etc. So I have all red lights in my office/study room. Might seem jarring on paper, but I do my studying on my computer screen, so the dark red light doesn't hinder my ability to read or focus.

What made you stop? Ive been playing guitar for about 12 years now and the last 3 years I have been fingerpicking or strumming with my nail. I cant go back to using a guitar pick. Unless Im playing fast picking stuff which I rarely do.

Since middle school I've built up a pretty large digital music library (I do still buy/DL all of my music), which is just over ~9000 songs now. I'm also extremely anal about the metadata (which I partially attribute to my increased interest in last.fm data tracking) and have spent many, many late nights tracking down proper the names/years of various releases, as well as album art and what not.

However I suspect it's because most students didn't bother.

@FarmDog i was gonna respond to your post last night but i hit the 75 post limit for a 24 hour period, being a new account and all. i dunno why it's deleted now, but anyway i stopped growing out my fingernails cuz i guess i just got more interested in playing electric and using a pick. of course nowadays it's been a good 5 or 6 since i've played guitar at all, outside of a couple brief instances. i should really get back into that.

sorry for the deletion. I saw that they updated the delete post. So I wanted to try it lol. I play electric too, but I use my fingernails. I sometimes use a pick if Im playing fast stuff or solos. My friend is a thrash metal guy so when I go over he teaches me how to play his songs. A lot of fast strumming!! I personally lean towards playing Folk, Celtic, New-Age, Jazz stuff lately. The first 8-9 years playing the guitar I was learning Rock/Metal. I still enjoy playing all genres, though :)

I have been borrowing a DVD from my library every week for six years and I keep track of them all in an Excel file so I know which ones I have watched.

I was 18, and the place gave you a whole 45 minutes of training before putting you on the phones. It was pretty much take as long as you could to tell people what they want to hear. I quit after 3 days, it was dull. You sat there for an 8 hour shift, maybe getting 10 calls a day at most. My best call I had a 45 minute conversation with a guy named Vinnie who was really happy with what I said.

sounds cool! i only ever got into rock, metal, classical and flamenco. very little bit of neoclassical. it was fun.

All of the hair on my body is deep red, except my eyebrows which are solid black.

Im also more chinese than anything but i look very white with closed eyes. When people ask why i always look so depressed i tell them "Im not depressed, im just chinese" and they get so confused.

When I was younger I had this OCD where if I touched something with one hand, I would have to touch the same thing with the other.. the same would apply to my feet if I knocked it into something or my elbows or my shoulders

I realized at a very young age that I was gonna live that way the rest of my life if I didnt work myself out of that and said fuck that and lived in uncomfortableness for 2 years until I didnt feel the need to do that anymore.. I mustve been around 8 or 9 lol

I used to do the same thing. And if I made a turn in one direction, I would have to do another one in the opposite direction to balance out.

I also attributed consciousness to inanimate objects. Like if a napkin flew out of the car, I got legitimately sad as if I lost a friend.
