Everything to the left of "visible light" (actually, about a third of the way into "ultraviolet") is dangerous. 5G phone signals are somewhere in "radar" range, which is not.

Uranium and thorium minerals aren't exactly rare, and these things are apparently made of compressed volcanic ash or mining waste or something.

5G is 3 magnitudes below the energy produced by microwaves (let's say 1000th the energy of microwaves) and is absorbed by water. I'd be quite wary of living in an idealized smart city where there are 5G transmitters everywhere as I'm not convinced the only thing that will happen is me feeling slightly warmer if I were to live in that environment.

If a hotpocket absolutely bombarded with microwaves still somehow manages to be frozen in the middle, you'll likely be fine.

5G transmitters are extremely short range for this reason. In an ideal 5G smart city, where self driving cars and IoT sensors are the norm and integrated into the city's network, there'd be multiple 5G relay antennas at every block.
