Well to be fair sumo has a lot less ROM

It's the "arch your back and barely drop the bar" of deadlifting

Looks like she's also wearing a deadlift suit

Some people pull conventional easier, but she does look pretty tall so sumo makes sense. And yeah she has a suit.

Either way this is a big fucking pull. The decently strong guy at your local commercial gym probably thinks he's pretty badass for pulling over 400.

If you're suggesting the weights are fake, they're not. Look at the end when she drops them. You can hear how solid they are and do not bounce either. Fake weights will do both of these things

Shes a pretty famous competitive powerlifter at this point, you can find her competition stats. So its not gonna be fake weights. Her squat is even more impressive imo

Not really, especially with how wide the grip is.

The bar is definitely flexing correctly. It's 400lbs.

Why is she holding it with one hand reversed like that?

I've never seen this sort of deadlift before, is that part of the form?

Either way that's almost two of me so holy shit.

Alternative grip generally let's you pull heavier without resorting to straps.

That's the standard grip for powerlifting tbqh. It stabilizes the bar better along the forward-backward axis.

Two reasons: makes the bar easier to grip by preventing it from rolling in your hands, and it makes it easier to maintain form.

The main issues with the alternating grip is that one side pulls differently than the other, leading to muscle imbalances. Lifters can counter this by changing sides every so often.

Another issue is that the underhand arm is at risk of a bicep tear with heavier weights. This is because your pulling with your bicep more that with the over hand grip. Thats why you can typically underhand row significantly more weight than an overhand row.

For conventional lifters, or Olympic style lifters, you should always go with the overhand grip.

Do you lift bruh, mixed grip is the standard for lifting heavy

Double overhand for grip focus, double underhand for torn biceps
