Yeah i've gotten warned 3-4 times in the past few months for obvious sarcasm/joke stuff that only someone completely socially inept could misunderstand.

At this point i've given up on even thinking i'm in the wrong and just chalk it up to a mod having a bad day and taking it out on the users here, and I just got a bad roll of the dice.

Either way, i'm not mad or think i'm wrong, I just think whenever I get modded that I rolled a natural 1 and got unlucky. I guess things will just continue on like this moving forward. It is what it is.

Yeah you gotta remember that we don't always get the complete context of a post when it is made and that Poe's law is alarmingly real. While your post might read as clearly satirical to you, there are also users who absolutely post similar sentiments with complete seriousness.

The only moderation on my history being an example of this. (Context for non-mods: In a not-remotely-serious topic, one user posted something starting with "I don't think", and I quoted only those three words with no further text and got modded for it. >_> And upheld too.)

Problem is that the reports aren't frivolous per se; it's usually actual violations being reported, just ones that no one would give two shits about otherwise. "You can be punished for reporting actual violations, based on our guess at your intentions" is a line that probably should not be crossed. There's already far too much moderation based on (often incorrect) assumptions of what the user is thinking.
