Presa canarios, cane corsos, doggo argentinos, akitas, shar peis, wolf crosses and shepherds are all known to be agressive breeds. Presas, cane corsos, doggos, and akitas especially so.

But no one ever calls them evil even though most of them are 2 to 4 times the size of a pit as well as notably more agressive. And besides pibulls no one ever lumps 25 breeds altogether as one thing to make the stats sound dramatic.

"Wow look, it's not actively killing something, this dog and by extension all pits must be safe!" is such a bullshit metric that you should be embarrassed to have presented it. Those dogs are still dangerous and nobody but biased pit enthusiasts think otherwise.

Denver and several other cities in the metro area actually unbanned Pit Bulls in recent years and I just don't understand the reasoning behind it. My city, Aurora CO, unbanned them despite the fact that a few years ago voters chose 2-1 in a referendum to keep the ban.

The dogs are just on average too aggressive and strong to be considered safe pets to own. They should be banned in most areas for the same reason that you aren't allowed to own a mountain lion.
