No, college courses were harder, as far as curriculum goes. But high school classes were more annoying, IMO (more teachers that I disliked, having a full day schedule 5 days a week, and group projects with people who sometimes didnt care about if they failed it).

I had some arbitrary high school teachers that would give out Bs for basically no reason.

Didn't happen in undergrad. Happened once in grad school.

I think the college classes were harder on paper, but I struggled more in high school because I had no clue what I was doing

I never really had an easy time in school. Community college was pretty easy though

TC slacked off in high school which mean you barely passed. In college, you took classes that interested you leading to increased effort and the perception that these subjects were easier than high school.

High school wasn't particularly difficult but there was definitely less room for motivation and more importantly you were taking ~7 classes at once. College leaves you in more control

The entry level stuff like English for non majors was definitely a step backwards from AP junior and senior year.

Yeah they were designed to make college easier for people directly after high school and give them a chance to further the education of their degree required.

You spend 2 months per class on gen eds while in HS youre spending 9 months working through 6-8 classes.

I had a tougher time with high school work just due to work volume. College was hard because professors don't give enough homework to train you on the material so when you get to the test, you're not as prepared for it. Also my professors loved throwing curve balls at us. Test problems will either be much more complex than the homework or they will change some facet of the problem so that it can be solved the same way as the homework.

Even though the tests were technically harder, the classes were graded on a curve. 80s ended up being 100s.

Basically, high school required me to put in a lot of work whereas college required more thinking on my feet in tests.
