Promotional period wears out in a week and a half. That means attempted renegotiating with Spectrum.

They'd tried to offer us to remove several services(Cable boxes, TV packages, etc). Declined, obviously.

Sent us over to cancellation, they offered to lower our bill to X(around what we're paying now). Sounds good, sure. Same services, cheaper price.

Except they didn't. 5 minutes later my internet was half as fast and now a bunch of our TV packages are gone.

So now phoning again after being dicked around and misled.

ok apparently I just needed to vent on b8 getting out of hell the rep I just got is getting us an even better deal.

I remember calling Cox earlier this year in an attempt to extend my current contract. I expected an obnoxious fight, so imagine my surprise when the representative immediately lowered my bill by $5 (I never even asked for it) and locked in that new rate for 24 months.

Yeah I was actually fully prepped for battle here. Had their full comparison vs new customers and multiple comparison plan for splitting my services onto other competitors here.

Ended up not needing any of it unless I really wanted to try to haggle for one of their really low deals they might have in pocket. But those are pretty limited in supply and I don't want to potentially take an offer from someone more financially strapped than me. I was happy to take what was my prior promotional price and ended up having a slightly lower price than that pretty much offered immediately.
