I know this is in no way an original notion, its strewn through much of science fiction and popular culture along with fringe quantum sciences.

But what is stopping us from just actually doing it? Soon we will have so much processing power at our disposal that we can aim it at properly defining life and consciousness and finding a way to interface with consciousness itself.

It would obviously only be for people that wanted it. A lifeboat for those who want to retain themselves.

We could probably do it for like 8 trillion dollars. I think we can gin that up no joke.
