Eh, it's worth playing on it's own, but it's so vastly different than the other AssCreeds that it's pretty much its own game.

Yes. It was a reboot point and predates the previous games so you'll not miss much by being unfamiliar with the lore.

Sure. It's fun and has a mostly self-contained story. Odyssey is better tho.

outside of the original games on ps3 they are all fairly self contained with any semblance of connectivity being so minuscule that it doesnt matter.

I preferred it to Odyssey tbh. I never even finished Odyssey, it felt too... big. Sometimes a map is better off being smaller but tighter (not that Origins wasn't frickin' huge already, haha).

I will go back to Odyssey at some point though.
