California is a natural wonder of the world and America's strongest economy

Texas is ugly and has medieval abortion laws

Doesn't California have a law that the homeless can shit on the the streets and basically anywhere, so I think they get my vote for most shittiest.

The food from both look amazing though.

Ive lived in both. California, despite the homeless crisis + cost of living, absolutely shits on every other state I've been to. Texas is the only red state I'd consider living in again, and even then I'd have to be in Austin and I have a lot of problems with the politics there. I really need to visit New York to make a fair comparison of the states.

I will agree, both states absolutely have the best food in the country.

I didn't know we were collectively considered mean? In terms of cost of living, Cali has gotten ridiculous and seems to be getting worse. In terms of how open minded and diverse we are, I'd say we're about average. But at least we're not enacting draconian laws. You couldn't pay me enough to live in Texas, or anywhere in the bible belt for that matter.

How's Oregon? Hopefully it's better then both in terms of living cost and not wanting to be it's very own lynch mob.

Remember when it snowed in Texas and electricity prices skyrocketed so people froze to death? And then it turned out that the bad electric infrastructure could be directly traced to politicians making greedy decisions or some such? I don't recall exactly but it wasn't a great look
