Such as demanding that each episode be 45 mins in length (likely a Netflix exec thing) The decision to fill that with Syndicate storyline as a constant presence rather than a rarity (maybe an exec thing) The decision to overload us with Vicious and Julia specifically (they could have done Syndicate without Vicious, for example). The decision to make Vicious just completely awful as a character. Just an absolute mess of a human being. These kinds of decisions cascaded to giving us our final product. Like I've got minimal problem with the acting, for example. Yeah the "black male" line was just awful, but the actress leaned the fuck into it and if you watch the entire scene, contextually she worked with it. For example, yes, Faye was still conned after coming out of cryogen, but nowhere is there mention of her debt as a result of hospital bills or being conned into further debt.
