Landlords are garbage, dealing with them is like pulling teeth. Yes you have to fix broken amenities around the house you dummy. Rent is just a word for paying someone for a home you will never own, not ever. I give these assholes so much wiggle room and they just complain an complain. Garbage people.

But seriously. Never rent if you can avoid it.

With renting you are just paying into something that you will never own.

Not to mention with the rent prices these days you could easily subvert that into a mortgage payment on a different house. Then you get to OWN the house after.

Also a lot of landlords are greedy and will use every loophole in the book to take advantage of you.

We had one window that we could open the last place we lived in.

One was painted shut, and when you tried to force it, the frame buckled slightly.
One was a frosted window that didn't exist to open.
One was being used for our heating/AC, because someone on the first floor set the house temperature to 75, and the heat rose to the apartment so it got to god damn 90 during the winter. We did not have AC for the house.
The window in the bedroom had wasps in it. Two years straight. We told the landlord every month and they only sent one person to look at it once, when we threatened to withold rent.
There was one, single, window we could open.

Fuck landlords.
