Phone was working fine. I did a routine restart at half power and the Xperia not only powered down , it powers down each and every time I start it up.
Next I boot up Xperia Companion on my PC. Xperia Companion Powers down each and every time I run it. I am now installing and updating the latest version of Xperia Companion from the Sony site. My Xperia is locked but it will not display the unlock screen !!!! * * * I found the answer on reddit/Xperia.
