i used to drink to help medicate my self diagnosed mild anxiety disorder. i eventually quit drinking because it was fucking my shit up, so i learned to manage my anxiety without it.

  • get plenty of sleep. sleep is so important and being tired just makes me stressed tf out
  • drink plenty of water. being dehydrated is more common than most people think and one of the first symptoms is anxiety.
  • meditation. i've been meditating 3x a week for 20m at at time for a few years now. it really helps calm my brain down and helps me 'let go' of invasive thoughts
  • L-Theanine. every day i take 2x200mg pills of this compound naturally found in green tea. the primary intent is to help "take the edge off" of coffee / caffeine, but i do feel slightly calmer and i definitely notice when i don't take it
  • CBD. i know a lot of people say CBD is snake oil, but i've been taking a large dose every morning for years now and i swear it works for my anxiety. the bottle i use is 2500 mg and i take a dropper full every day.
