Like it's painfully obvious that the production hell the game went through led to the developers going the free to play route because trying for a full AAA release would be met with backlash (See: BF2042). FPS is a bit of a tired genre. The behemoths are all feeling a bit worn out. Can't remember the last time a CoD or BF felt fresh. Halo is similarly just trying to reobtain an old glory that no longer exists. Sony is focused on single player experiences. If they implement armor and shit based off of personal achievements or something then it'll be perfect.
