Today in science class we learned that microwaves work by heating up the water molecules in food and that heats it up. So if you put something with no water like a brick in the microwave and turn it on, it won't get hot. Neat, huh?
So I was wondering if there's something similar for refrigerators. Can you put something in the fridge that won't get cold? --- I don't think so, Tim. ~~ Pizza Crew ~~ ... Copied to Clipboard!

Nah. Microwaves are a special case because the heat they create comes from the waves vibrating in a medium, which as you said is usually water.
Refrigerators don't have any kind of fancy science going on, they just create a cold space like any other and anything that goes into a fridge will get colder. Fridges are a lot more like inverted ovens. --- I write Naruto Fanfiction. But I am definitely not a furry. ... Copied to Clipboard!
