Just skip around and look at the way everything movesAnimation became easier to do over time, in terms of work saving and staying on model...but it did not become 'better' by default. Old school animation can still beat the pants off a lot of newer stuff. The basic principles of animation have never really changed. If somebody is good, they're good in the 1940s just as much as they'd be good in the 2020s. Look at Snow White. Or Pinocchio.
