I thought it was ringworm but the vet said she was sure it wasnt.

My first go to would be to give him Benadryl (dogs can have normal human benadryl) to rule out an allergy

Allergies can cause weird stuff in dogs, mine had terrible cystic acne on his back from allergies

A lot of vets see shit like this and decide its something innocuous that will go away within a month or two. This is usually true, but also sometimes indicative of a potentially worse issue later on.

How old is the dog?

Hes 4. They gave me some kind of spray to put on it. Some pet forum where you ask vets say its from licking and itching. Im still waiting today to go in

no, that's not at all what a good vet does. that's what a scam vet does. people are treating this like a joke because nobody with sense would have something like this happen and go back to the same damn vet.

1. Sunday not many vets are even open to begin with.
2. they were just seen by the vet tech to get shots. They literally came up to the car, took them, and gave them shots. Brought them back 30 seconds later. Then said make an appointment to be seen. I made it very clear they were there for shots. Jfc stfu

Yeah, my dog used to give himself sores like that when he was stressed by rubbing his nose on the couch.

Put some Neosporin on it first.

Yeah, hes been having to spend a lot of time in his pen the last two weeks. My wife adopted a cat with ringworm so weve had to isolate basically every animal from itself until the kitten clears it. So its starting to add up

It's not that he's a cop, man. It's that he's one of the worst posters on this site and I've seen him make some unforgivable posts that reflect what a horrible person he truly is. And just how are we supposed to help him? Medical conditions should be diagnosed and analyzed by professionals, not a video game web site filled with trolls. If anything, coming here is the worst thing he could have done and proves he hates animals.

3rd picture is something my dog has. she always had that her whole life. it's only on the top of her front legs in the back.

she had mange when she was a puppy. it took a long time to clear with 2 treatment rounds (4-6 months to regrow her hair).

it's nothing harmful i think.

I just left the office and the vet said her tech said it got better from yesterday. We have about every pet medicine you wish for in our house. So I put some topical ointment on it and looked better apparently. They said nothing to freak out over

You got the nail on the head. We rescue a lot of animals. We have snakes, birds, dogs, etc.. on an almost 4k square foot house. You start to learn not everything is an emergency trip to the vet. Most of the time everything is minor and people on forums know the answer

Ah, should be fine then. Definitely innocuous. Just make sure that when he's awake/wired that he's as distracted as possible. Also are his nails pretty decently clipped atm?
