I came to this train of thought from this stray Twitter comment:

Isn't the whole point of a vaccine that it stops you from getting the disease, or at least the significant damage of it?

This is like saying "the trouble with foreclosure [as a remedy to going homeless] is it's free." No, you have to go through the exact thing that the paid option is trying to avoid.

It's not whether "natural immunity" is superior, it's whether you'd rather risk the consequences of what it takes to get to natural immunity than take a vaccine.
