Do you use headphones?

What do you use CE? What made you get those over others?

I'm still rocking my QC35IIs over 3 years later. I bought them because of the advertising and NFL partnership, honestly <_<

Gen 2 AirPods with a wireless charging case. I'm not an audiophile by any stretch, and I like the way they fit. I can listen all day and it never annoys my ears. I used to have some Anker earbuds with superior sound quality, but they weren't comfortable over extended periods at work.

The standard stock white earbuds that came with old Samsung phones. For some reason, those last longer than any other earbuds that I buy.

Depends on context. Out for a walk? The AKG earbuds that came with my phone. Mixing my decidedly amateur recordings? AKG K702 open back cans. I'll often use those for listening to vinyl or playing a game with distinct music/ambiance as well. Though, even with open-back having all that sound driven into my ears can be fatiguing, so I'll often use our 7.1 surround for most tv/movies, some games, some music. Upgrading our centre and two front now, stoked for a definite upgrade even if not audiophile level.

TinAudio T2. I'm definitely an IEMs person for the most part. I think it's the best experience when listening on mobile devices. Very portable, good isolation.

For console/PC I'm using Steelseries Arctis 7 wireless because it can switch between PC and TV output without moving any connections. So I can turn off the TV speakers and still hear everything.

bose soundsports

4 years ago I tried a few wireless headphones. The first two pairs were crappy quality and the other one wasn't usable for phone calls. Soundsports were the third pair I bought and the most expensive of the lot. I like that I can hang them around my neck when I want to take them off. and I like that I can turn them on and off with a button. They stick out of my ears a lot which looks ugly but they are very comfortable.

When I accidentally destroyed them, I tried galaxy buds as a replacement but I found them really annoying. I hate that you can't ever turn them off. Sometimes I want to take them out of their charging case without turning them on. So dumb. it's also too cumbersome to swap devices with them.

so I returned them and got another pair of soundsports

I use a pair of Sony wh-1000xm4's. It's so nice to be able to swap beween my pc and phone one the fly to take calls/walk around while listening to a video/music that's playing on my pc. The noise cancelling is fantastic without impacting audio quality. I'm a real big fan of these. So much better than my old Bose QC35's.

I took an amateur interest in headphones several years ago.

I tried $50 headphones that were made by one of the top names. I forget which at this point, because I didn't like them much. The sound they created was way too echo-ey for me. Since then, I have sworn by earphones and I didn't like headphones.

I'm not very picky at all about earphones. Pretty much any of them seems to do the job for me. I'm serious, no matter how low end they are, unless they're excessively tinny or high pitched, I'm ok with them. I don't like earphones with a bias toward very high treble due to sensitive hearing. Using triflange silicon nubs, they fit securely and they sound pretty great too.

I bought a pack of 4 earbuds for $20 from Amazon 2 years ago and I'm still using the last one for my laptop. For my phone I use the apple earbuds that came with them. I have some wireless earbuds but I don't like them because they're always falling out and I forget to charge them

Why are the xm4s memephones?
For several years the XM3 was the default recommendation for anyone looking for noise cancelling headphones, and also a lot of people bought them. It became a bit of a meme. Not that there is anything wrong with them of course - they are good.

That title has now been passed down to Memephones Jr.

You can get something better sounding that's wired and not be charged 5 times the worth of the product
