i got a new laptop. first thing i wanted to do was get chrome. went to chrome's website and downloaded it.
oh? to download it i have to get out of whatever the fuck S mode is? cool. oh? edge isn't my default browser? that's okay, keep bugging me to use it, maybe that'll change my mind. oh? seeing three fucking recommendations to use edge on my literal lock screen? cool. good lord man. is there anywhere i can download windows 7 again? i miss my old laptop so much. specifically the whole "not seeing ads and directions to the microsoft app store" part. --- ... People are literally opening a chromium fork to go download a slightly different chromium fork with worse security and worse memory issues because of a browser from 2003 that doesn't exist anymore.

Edge is just a Microsoft'd Chromium. They use the same rendering engine, the same style of extensions, etc. You shouldn't really notice much of a difference.
