They may need to re-visit the boosts that the Rocket shadow Pokemon get after this. The delay may have never been intended, but getting rid of it is going to make a fair amount of Rocket battles (particularly the leaders and Giovanni) very, very difficult for casual players and a few are going to be really difficult even for seasoned, well-prepared players.

Turns out, Niantic considers them not having the delay to be a glitch (or they've just seen enough backlash to it being "fixed" and are going back on it), which will be fixed in an upcoming update (first issue here):

yeah the switch/attack/shield delay abuse is really the only way to beat three straight fucking 10k CP snorlaxes. they better nerf the CP if they really do want to get rid of it --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
