i dont think that's true though

one streamer took 20 hours of gameplay to get a shiny dialga.

and thats probably on the luckier side.

I got big into shiny hunting in Gen 4 when they introduced chaining, caught maybe about a dozen of them. Even wasted hours SR'ing for a shiny legendary or two, never had any luck. Glad that urge passed. Hacking completely devalued what was a really stupid badge-of-honor timesink to begin with.
