I was thinking about watching them before the new movie, but like...srsly, not a single one is on the service. Or any service in a neat and tidy matter. I'd love to watch them through official channels, but alas...

Yep. Google told me they're on Hulu, but when I looked for them on Hulu... only if you pay for the live tv version of Hulu, which is $64.99/month (fuck that). I ended up renting both movies for $2.99 each, from Amazon a few weekends ago.

Yeah, but the pricing is absurd. We're talking...what, 20+ bucks for all of them, once? I got the Raimi trilogy on DVD, so that cuts the cost, but still. Can't ever be easy.

Oh! I thought you just meant the MCU movies. Yeah, paying to rent the other 5 too would suck. I know the MCU Spiderman movies are going to be added to Disney+ in the future, but there's no official date on that.

Wait wait, really? Is that confirmed?

That would be an absolute blessing!

Yes Sony and Disney signed a huge deal that starts in 2022. Just no specific date on when we'll see all of the Sony titles on Disney+. And the wording sounds like it might actually be all of the Spider-Man movies, not just the MCU ones like I saw in a news article.

The Walt Disney Company (DIS) and Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) today announced a multi-year content licensing agreement for U.S. streaming and TV rights to Sony Pictures new theatrical releases across Disney Media & Entertainment Distributions vast portfolio of platforms including its streaming services Disney+ and Hulu, as well as linear entertainment networks including ABC, Disney Channels, Freeform, FX and National Geographic. The deal covers theatrical releases from 2022-2026 and begins for each film following its Pay 1 TV window.

The deal also grants rights to a significant number of SPEs iconic library titles, ranging from the Jumanji and Hotel Transylvania franchises to Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters films, including Spider-Man. This gives Disney enormous programming potential across its platforms and makes them key destinations for a robust collection of Spider-Man films.

This might mean Venom too! Awesome.

Disney and Sony working together has been a bit of negative and positive, all at once lol

We have all of them on Netflix and Amazon Prime in Japan. It's weird how much stuff is just on both of them.
