Nice. She should not be allowed to profit from her lies any further.

Plans to adapt Alice Sebolds memoir Lucky, about her rape as an 18-year-old, have been dropped, according to Variety.
The news comes after the rape conviction at the heart of the 1999 memoir was overturned last week. Anthony Broadwater had spent 16 years in prison after being convicted of the crime in 1982, based largely on Sebolds identification of him as her rapist on the witness stand, and on microscopic hair analysis by an expert tying him to the crime. The US Department of Justice now rejects such analysis, and Broadwater was cleared last Monday of raping Sebold. Im not going to sully this proceeding by saying, Im sorry. That doesnt cut it, said the Onondaga county district attorney, William Fitzpatrick. This should never have happened.

A spokesperson for publisher Scribner declined to comment on the convictions overturning. Neither Alice Sebold nor Scribner has any comment. Scribner has no plans to update the text of Lucky at this time, they said.

Hopefully she gets the OJ treatment and all her book revenue goes to her victim forever.

Cue the new project about the attempt to adapt the book which resulted in further investigation which exonerated a wrongfully convicted man.

I'd love to see that.

She intentionally lied, just picking literally the first black man that spoke to her. Also, after she began milking this for a career, she told many lies about him. She said he had a violent criminal history, he has NO criminal history. She also said that he hired a hitman to attack and rape her roommate. Also a lie. She is as comically evil as the whiote woman from the movie Rosewood.
