I thought it might be cool if Carlton's son (Phil?) would be the main character, but that means Alfonso Ribeiro would be absent for story reasons. I considered Hilary and Ashley, but realized I want them in, too. So all that's left is little Nicky Banks. His child goes to live with Will for whatever reasons to be revealed throughout the show.
