She was born a few years before the vaccine started becoming available. So she knew people and had family members that died of it. Her own Mom had it and required care from her family for much of her life.

But hearing her recall when vaccinations started, EVERYONE just naturally lined up. There was no controversy, it was just matter of fact that youd line up at school or wherever to get the shot.

And polio has been eradicated in the U.S. since 1979 because of it.

Back when the polio vaccine became available in my country, people spontaneously started throwing grand folk festivals in celebration. People were absolutely thrilled and overjoyed about it becoming available for everyone.

Skeptics back then were socially shunned because they had to integrate into their immediate surrounding community.

Now they can find platforms and communities and support all across the internet and never once have to worry about 'fitting in' with those around them.

Combine that with the real lack of visible tragedy from covid and the misnomer of '99% survival rate!' and it really isn't surprising that there's so many anti-covid vax people.
