Lack of enemy variety always gets me!

It seems like a very common offense.

From Software does not commit this offense however. One of the reasons I enjoy their series.

Escorting people who move faster than your walk speed and slower than your run speed.

Edit: Just slightly slower than run speed is fine since you can at least catch up when you stop to fight. It's the blatantly in the middle crap that bugs me.

This is a really minor one, but I hate when collectibles basically confirm a plot point ahead of time, but then the actual characters are shocked when it happens. Like in Dishonored 2, it's really obvious from items around the hospital (and the Heart's info) that Hypatia accidentally Jekkyl and Hyde'd herself and her alter ego is the Crown Killer, but Emily is shocked when she transforms.

Oh, and this is the one thing that annoys me about Hades. I don't know why they decided bosses have to go invulnerable if you whale on them too much at once, but it's really annoying. The last boss in particular doesn't do exactly this, but he does go invulnerable when he summons adds which has fucked me a couple of times already.

The one with NPCs having a set pace that doesn't match yours has already been posted, so another one I've realised recently is when scripted dialogue/banter gets cut off because you stopped to look at something, or the length of the conversation doesn't match the time it takes to cross an area and trigger the next scene so you never get to hear the end of what they were talking about.

The recent Guardians of the Galaxy game was terrible for this. I feel like I missed half the dialogue because I went off to pick up a collectible or some components.

God, the Witcher 2. I would just not walk at all to hear the conversation.

It's not even realistic though. Real weapons last far longer than they do in games.

I hate this too, especially when it just makes things even less realistic, like in Fire Emblem. Like what kind of shitty sword can only be used 20 times before it breaks? And the tomes having durability just seems weird...Can things only be read a certain number of times in their universe?
