It was a really good foundation for breeding teams and had a huge selection of wild pokemon for fun in game play. I'd say it deserves it. --- We all ate the biscuits, Fighter. Also, the new Pokemon, however few, were some of the better designs. Feature-wise, it was decent too. The big disappointment was the post-game/optional content.
