Ive never worked past thanksgiving. But I did work the day after a few years ago. Someone literally fisted the pumpkin pie I was bringing to a friend after work

Im working today. But I get to work from home so Im essentially making extra money to sit around and watch Beast Wars while the occasional call comes in.

I also used to work Thanksgiving at my old job (grocery store) which I never minded. Extra pay for what I worked, in addition to the straight pay for the holiday. Store was usually pretty quiet and I would get out by 3:00 anyway.

I am. The building is shut down. The associates went home. HR went home. Loss prevention went home. Managers went home. RME and base building all went home. Even janitorial got to go home. Just a few people in the trailer yard and my security team have to work tonight.

Christmas will be a full shutdown the lights off and the doors locked. But my security team will still have to be here. Just sitting in our cars in the parking lot. :/
