Racism cannot be solved because it is constantly nourished. It acts as the right hand of capitalism. And even in non-capitalist societies, setting the majority against the minority is still an effective strategy for controlling the population as a whole.
Racism stems from hatred, misunderstanding, and a desperate need for consolation. It can only be defeated through friendship, equality, understanding, and a removal of the need for the false-consolation of imagined superiority. That's why the media chooses methods of subtle antagonism. They know it encourages and perpetuates bigotry. White society doesn't mind they're getting shortchanged so long their treatment is still preferential to that of Black society -- at least so believe those who profit from bigotry. ...
