Story: Badly executed, decent premise (JRPG)
Characters: Forgettable (standard JRPG characters)
Gameplay: Kinda fun (Tales standard)
Music: Forgettable (And unfitting)

Decent to Good. Regular Tales stuff as far as story and characters, though the premise is neater than most of them. Combat and rpg elements are fun but not as groundbreaking as they wanted it to be. Graphics and sound are good

It's one of the most generic JRPGs I've played in recent memory. There's some good stuff. The combat is enjoyable, but after the first two chapters of the game, very little about it will change throughout. The world is very enjoyable to traverse through even if there's very little point in exploration. But mostly it's just boring. The story when it's not awful is generic as all hell. The game's progression is formulaic to a point where it's problematic. The characters have enjoyable personality quirks, but nothing really stands out positively.

It also has the most awful microtransaction system of any game I've ever played. Imagine if every time you sit at a Bonfire in Dark Souls the game displays a banner about their new cosmetic (and non-cosmetic) DLC.
