I got my apartment in June because construction next door drove residents to leave. Apartment has a desirable location. I knew the construction is a thing but it has gotten past egregious and become ostentatious. I wondered did the owner of this building have an interest?

I did some prying online today. It turns out that this condo building is being built on the same lot as my building although the for sale notice appropriated an address.

I found the city portal for building permits by address. There is no permit for this construction under the actual address or the putative address. Although fire codes are being ignored the bigger issue is flood codes.
