I can record the game's video and audio just fine, but I just got a mic to talk into it and I'm not sure how to set that part up. Do I need to add it as a source or something?

Go to audio settings and look for mic/auxiliary audio. It should say disabled by default and then there are a bunch of options to change it to I think?

You can add a mic as a source like everything else. Add an "Audio input" source and choose your mic.

I'd try some basic recording of you playing something and talking before streaming, just to get a sense for the audio levels and how you might need to audio balance, by the way. It can be a bit tricky to adequately balance that, so I'd record a minute or two of just some basic gameplay and talking to determine if the audio levels need to be adjusted.

How can I play the game and see the Twitch chat at the same time? Is it easy to set up a second monitor? Or should I just have the game in Window and try my best with that?

I would guess second monitor, phone or tablet for chat.

Whenever you hit the button to start streaming, the stream settings and the chat will pop up as separate windows and you can put them wherever

If you have two screens I recommend leaving OBS and the chat window visible in them. OBS so you can manage the audio levels between whatever you're streaming and your voice, and the chat window so you can read what people are saying

idk they just popped up for me when I hit start streaming, I almost never stream. If they aren't appearing you can toggle them on View > Docks > Chat
