It feels really great to use, you start with it so you don't need to worry about scavenging for it, it always has ammo, and it can actually do a lot of damage even from afar.

wat, no. its pretty much the default weapon. noobish is constantly legging it for the power weapons.

I don't have much experience with FPS games, but my motto is use whatever you find fun/are comfortable with. Doesn't matter if it's an easy weapon.

No. It's quite good in Infinite, and as already said it's intended to be the default gun. It's spent most of the series not being very good, so enjoy it now that it actually is.

I'm pretty sure it has gotten a pretty good buff compared to older Halo games.

The AR started being good since Reach, so nah. It gets out classes but it's not near-useless like it used to be

Once you become good with the AR, I feel like a lot of the game opens up. You spend more time killing than looking for weapons.
