Go for 1440p or 4K. It's almost 2022. 1080p was the hot new thing in 2005.

Also, I have a 1070 Ti and my monitor is 4K. It runs old games at 4K great.

I have an RTX 2080 and a 1440p/144Hz monitor and maybe half the more demanding games I own run at 144Hz at full res. With a 1080Ti you might want to stick with 1080p/120Hz.

Thats what Im running now myself. Its fine most of the time but newer games cant be pushed to the max.
