Dayum. I didn't realize today was such an important day in the history of gaming.

Super Mario World > A Link to the Past > Sonic 2 = Donkey Kong Country

I can't really decide between the last two. Donkey Kong Country has more content, but Sonic has the better character and presentation. They're about equal. Super Mario World is easily my favorite game of all time and I don't care how much of that is nostalgia.

It's easily my most nostalgic Sonic game. That's probably why I didn't rank DKC higher. I went back and forth between them before deciding to list them as equal.

I just got back from my work break. If I had thought about it, I would've attempted a Super Mario World speed run while on my break. I bet I could do a 15 minute run using the Star World.

I decided to do a sampler.

I played the first zone of Sonic 2, beat Bowser in Super Mario World, rescued the princess in Legend of Zelda (first rescue), and beat King K. Rule in Donkey Kong Country.

A Link to the Past begins with you rescuing Zelda from a dungeon. It doesn't really have "levels," but I'd say that's the closest equivalent there of. I made it to the first save point.

Two final levels and two first levels.
