Make sure you load your save data for excellent surprises in 2.

Seriously don't skip doing this. You just need a save file from the last save point in Suikoden (before final boss).

Did you get the best ending?

I'm not sure what the best ending is. I didn't even know I could resurrect Gremio

it's obnoxious how narrow the window is for 1 of the characters in 1 my last playthrough i went past that window w/o realizing it... and if ur emulating i'd recommend getting the bugfix patch for suikoden 2.. the base NA version at least has several relatively minors bugs.. mostly tied to music that stops it from playing in some scenes.. but yea 2 is widely considered the best in the series by a longshot
