She was such a mysterious character back then, like a legend. Yes, she was in Mario Kart 64, but you couldnt actually se her in full there, and the only clear shot of her face was in the character selection screen. Yes, she was in Mario Party, but everyones 3D model was so different there, even as a child I could tell that something was off with them.

This takes me back to the initial question: how did you feel when you finally saw her appearing at the end of the game? Personally, it felt almost unreal. The character I had always known but that I had never actually seen made her appearance and I was able to feel that it was because of me, that my efforts werent vain. I knew what it took to get there and she was the physical representation of it.

She felt real, but at the same time she felt like an illusion, as when you reset your console shes nowhere to be seen, again. And this is what pushed me to finish the game over and over again, just to live that moment one more time, each time.

She was made playable in the second mario bros game/in super mario bros. 2 murica' (a game I really, really loved as a kid. Both her and luigi carried that game, so I was always playing as her or luigi), a selectable character in super mario kart on the snes (she ended up becoming my favorite character in this game because of the way she handled), and she was in almost every episode in the super mario bros super show/super mario bros. 3/super mario world cartoon, so she was always kinda' just there for me I guess.

Now princess daisy?....she felt kinda' mystical. Only been in one gameboy game and then just started popping up in all the sports spin-offs, and then mario party games.
