I actually like reddits system. I often use Reddit when I'm looking for information and valuable information often gets pushed to the top, while trolling is at the bottom.
I don't trust it in some echo chambers, though. I remember having some troubles with a voucher on the Nintendo store. Gamefaqs was helpful and gave tips, r/Nintendo basically just blamed me. Nintendo acknowledged something weird had happened and fixed the problem for me. I won't even try to get used to it. It's ugly and doesn't seem user friendly. I just go there if a google search for some info leads in that direction. Then quickly leave.
